The Micro ROV plays two roles within CDS, one role is a micro remote operate vehicle that visually inspects underwater hardware. It is perfect for checking underwater structures without throwing a diver in the water. The other role is a hand held camera for the diver to use whilst inspecting underwater structures. A very handy tool! We can record all the ROV’s movements with the computer support system. A Portable notebook computer with an extra external hard drive and high performance graphics card handles the input from the ROV system and records the data directly onto the hard drive, all data can be edited with commentary and photo’s from the job also included to give a quality report burned onto a DVD.
